Meet Marmaduke!

Marmaduke is a 8 month old Sheppard mix. I passed by his kennel a few times, and every time  I did he always had a smile on his face.  He was scheduled to be euthanized Saturday September 3, 2011. I happen to be passing by and I noticed he was in the euth room awaiting his death with the same smile on his face. I couldn’t help but feel compelled to step in and help. I spoke with the supervisor of the shelter and asked to grant this poor boy extra time to be networked out. There was a pause, He said nothing, then handed me Marmaduke’s kennel card and allowed me to  save him. The shelter does have an amazing staff that supports me networking these poor innocent victims. He is a very sweet, friendly and energetic puppy. He just needs to find his forever home.

Need Help With The Cost of Spaying or Neutering Your Pet?

H.E.A.L. is sponsoring a free cost spaying or neutering for residents of San Bernardino, Fontana, Lona Linda, Grand Terrace and Colton.

Proof of residency  required ( i.e. photo ID or current utility bill).

Dogs must be current with their rabies vaccine and rabies certificate must be provided. The metal license will not be accepted. If your dog does not have a current rabies vaccine, you can purchase on at the time of your appointment for $10.00

Meet Lily

This is Lily. She's 11 months old. She is such a sweetheart! She had a little troubled past. She was neglected and and malnourished. After being taken into the shelter, she was very afraid of the leash. A volunteer has taken special interest in her and is still working with her as of today. Lily has mad a full 360 spin. Before she would live in fear of past memories of the leash but now walks freely and happily. She is very good with kids. She loves to place her head in their lap and be pet.  Both of these Gray cats are available for adoption. They are both located in Kennel 223. They were strays picked up by animal control. Both cats dream of living in a home together enjoying the finer things in life like catnip, and their own cat beds. However, both know realistically it may be hard for someone to take both of them and are willing to part ways for the other to be saved if they have to. Both play very well together and take advantage of the cat scratchers and yous in the cat room when possible. They both love attention, to be pet, and are the perfect lap companions. They both enjoy being groomed and do not mind having their nails trimmed. They both love to talk to one another and people but are considerate and keep it to a minimum. Please visit Kennel 223 to visit them!

This Cate is a male, orange and white stripped tabby. He is a domestic short hair approximatley 9 months old. He is very friendly, and playful. Children and kids do not mind him, in fact he enjoys them. Just last saturday he spent time with a family who described him as "loving" "a joy to be around and "adorable." He has the cutest smile and his eyes light up when hes happy or excited. His owner salyd turned him into the shelter. His owner said he could no longer afford Oso. Its not Oso's fault that his family gave him up. His behavior, and personality was not the problem nor the reason. He was innocentlly taken out of his home unwillingly. Oso is looking for a new owner who can give him a brighter life, and keep up with him.
