7 Reasons to Adopt.

1. Save a Life.
Southern California is an overpopulated area for many stray and unfixed animals. Many animals become homeless and are roaming the streets looking for a bed and food. Each animal has the upsetting chance of being euthanized. Former owners or foster parents of shelter dogs speak of rewarding experience's of their animal having a new and better chance at a second life because of them.

2. You'll Get a Vaccinated Pet and The Initial Cost Will Be Less.
Animal Shelters are filled with happy energetic animals waiting to be adopted. Our Shelter vaccinates all  the dogs and cats received and also throughly reviews their health and behavior. Some dogs and cats are even spayed or neutered already or the shelter pays for this by randomly selecting a pet and using its own funding to do so. Breeders and puppy mills raise pet fees up to $1,000 pending the breed. Here we charge a flat rate of $55 dollars for an adoption fee, vaccinations included.

3. They Deserve a Second Chance At a New Life.
Some animals are neglected and malnourished. They come into the shelter underweight starving. Most pets are either picked up by Animal Control from the streets because their owners were neglectful or they never had a home. Others are surrendered by their owners because they can no longer afford to pay for them or their owner may have passed away or moved and can no longer take them with them. Either the animal did nothing to deserve being placed in the shelter. It is the owners fault for being neglectful. With a new home and owner the animal has a new and colorful life ahead of them. They have the possibility for a happier and longer life.

4. We Have a Variety of Animals, Even Purebreds!
Shelters take in all sorts of breeds that cost less to adopt and take home than a pet store! There are hundreds of breeds to choose from. Some are purebreds, and some are mixed and very unique.  You can in fact find purebreds here like huskies, Cocker Spaniards, German Shepard's, and many many more!

5. You Can Find a Dog That is Already Trained!
Since many shelter dogs are already house and kennel trained they know obedience very well. They are leash trained as well.  Some have previous owners who have trained them and have installed obedience in the dog before its arrival to the shelter.

6. You Avoid the dreaded Puppy Stages.
Since the dogs or puppies have been to the shelter they have been started to become trained. You will not have to worry about the teething, messes, crying, kennel training, housebreaking, socializing, excessive energy, shots every few months, de-worming, and possibly paying the neutering or spaying fee.

7. You Will Be Avoiding The Support Of A Puppy Mill.
These puppy mills put wealth and money before the welfare of the dogs. Most dogs are raised in horrible conditions. The mills are provide poor housing and living conditions with improper medical care. The parents of the puppies are most likely used for breeding for years and years at a time with out any human companionship until they are no longer a profit, they are discarded- killed, abandon or sold at an auction. Instead please consider adopting a pet at our shelter or any local animal shelter near by. You can be certain that the pets at shelters are cared for and looked after regards their best intrest is what comes first. By doing this you are avoiding support to the puppy millies and supporting your local shelter instead. Your local shelter, like us, will contain healthy, friendly, and excited mixed and purebred animals that are eager to met you!
