Get Involved.

There Are Many Ways To Get Involved!
 Donate. Volunteer. Foster.
Donate.
The Shelter is always in need of donations and supplies. Donations of Towels, Blankets, Sheets, Newspapers, Bleach, Fabuloso, Dish Soap, Sponges/Scrubbys, Fans, Flytraps [bag or sticky], Grooming Supplies, Petfood [dry and wet], Kong Toys for dogs [ and peanut butter to go inside], dog beds of all sizes.

Volunteer.
Help out and lend a helping hand! People wishing to donate their time and energy should sign up at the shelter. You will learn direct animal care, how to exercise dogs and puppies, as well as cats and kittens. You will learn the correct way to clean and sanitize a cage. Volunteers can also help with feeding and basic grooming [bathe, and brushing]. You can help place blankets in kennels during cold weather to provide comfort and warmth for animals to cuddle and warm up to. You will also learn the basic knowledge of animal behavior and care techniques.  Volunteers become the ears and the eyes of the shelter. They observe animal behavior and are encouraged to report any health conditions to the front office. They also help assisting in adopting, assisting the public, and informing them of adoption policies and pet availability. You can also help socialize the animals! The dogs you can walk on leases play with reward them with treats and truly make their day. Volunteers may also visit the cat room and take a cat out to the play room to stretch its paw and play.

***Please note the next Volunteer Orientation is set to be held April 30th. You must fill out an application before hand in order to be considered to volunteer.

Foster.
What is Fostering? Fostering is providing a temporary home for an animal who maybe sick or is in need of extra attention, care and are in trouble of being adopted. Animals are taken into the foster parents home and cared for attentively. They provide a safe home and environment for the pet to live in and better adapt to society. This provides more TLC- and can provided to be a great experience to the parent foster as well as the pet. If you are interested in doing so please go to the shelter to see about filling out an application to become a foster pet parent
